XPS14 will be dismissed soon or is already dismissed.

XPS 14 and 15 are very similar, just one is bigger. They both come with meh 1366 x 786 screens, but Dell also has 1920x1080 screen available for the 15. If you want a better screen on the 14 you have to upgrade it yourself.
That said, they don't make the 14 any more, so I hope you weren't looking for a smaller laptop.

XPS 14 doesnt have usb 3 IIRC

XPS 14 isn't even sold new anymore, only refurbished.
Always buy the screen upgrade. Almost always it isn't just resolution that gets bumped up, the screen brightness goes up as well.

There's nothing technically wrong about the stock screens on xps 14/15, they are just not good. Most xps14 owners replaces it by buying an 900P LG screen. You can find more info on "official swapping xps14 screen blah blah thread", probably on the page 3 or 4 of this forum. 15 owners got it easy since they can opt for 1080P screen right from Dell, a lot more expensive though.
To be honest with you, I would probably go with an xps15 if I were given another chance. They are pretty much identical, except 14 is a tiny bit smaller, while 15 carries a subwoofer and a USB 3.0 port thanks to the extra space.

I like my XPS 14 because it's easy to carry around. USB 3.0 doesn't do much for me since I don't use it for anything other than my wireless mouse and tv tuner. I'm a bit concern about the subwoofers in the 15 - makes you think about all the vibration and the long term effects on the harddrive.
Anyway, I'm happy with my 14 since I'm not a big gamer.

Guys I am in INDIA and laptops are still bit new to INDIAN market.I went to an Official Dell store and i was told that DELL now only manufactures Inspiron and XPS models. And XPS was avilable in the shop.So should i not opt for DELL XPS 14.The original Screen configuraton is like this
35.6 cm (14'') HD WLED Display with TrueLife (1366*768).
Does problems in Screen comes with this Screen configuration?Or this is improved screen by DELL for XPS 14.And if I changed my Screen then how much additional cost it would incur(I have still not purchased any Laptop). And to what configuraton should i changed my Screen (If required)?
Guys if i changed my screen then other then Screen is there any other problems that may occur in XPS 14.
Should I go for Sony Vaio Series.
Guys please post your valuable suggestions as i am completely baffled now

I'd recommend swapping out the stock screen with the LG. Costs around $86 USD from SunValleyTek and they ship international.
Edit: Also forgot to mention that there's a new version of the XPS 15, but I'm sure you see it in the forum. So, difference between the 14 and 15 now would also be the SandyBridge cpu.
