CF-Y5 DC in jack / service manual

Soo frustrating. I sent my laptop in for service 2 years ago, the DC jack was busted on the laptop. Guess what, it's failed again and my warranty is over. For a toughbook, I wish they could have made the DC JACK tough. I love this laptop, but wish they got the DC jack right. Has anybody themself replaced the DC IN JACK? I have found a service manual for a similar model, and it has instructions to replace the DC IN JACK. There is a list of part numbers in the back, is it possible to order the parts? where? If anybody has the exact manual for my model it might useful. The model #CF-Y5LWFZZBM

CF 28 repair, ac power port replacement on motherboard





That is the thread where I repaired the port on my toughbook CF-28. All I was replacing was just the plastic part, my metal part was fine. I have a CF-T5 but haven't had a need to get down to the motherboard yet, but they should be about the same besides it takes a different ac adapter.

The DC jack type for your unit is as tha same found on CF-18, 29, 30, w series. t series and name a few. maybe you can find it with those laptop with dead mbo. like the IBM laptop or sorry(I mean sonny).
